Fall Musical Auditions

What you need to know:The Fall Musical is Shrek Jr! Auditions will be held next Tuesday, Aug 22nd after school (except for 6th graders, who will audition in class.) 

Any student auditioning who would like to stay at school until their parents come to the Theatre Orientation, must tell Ms. Amerson on or before Monday that they plan to do so. We need a head count so we have enough supervision. We will order pizza and do homework until the 6:30 meeting.

Students outside of the Theatre Department are also permitted to audition for the musical.

All students must hand in the Audition Authorization Form by Monday, August 21st to Ms. Amerson. You can print these sheets and turn in any time between now and Monday. This form is very important as it explains critical rehearsal expectations and dates. Parents and students must sign this form. Students may also pick up this form from the Call Board at school, starting on Aug. 15th.

To audition, select a portion of an age-appropriate Broadway song that is complimentary to your voice and range.   Bring recorded background music (without words) to your audition to accompany your singing.  If necessary, you may sing a cappella, but it isn’t recommended. If you are called back, you will need to stay after school on Thursday, August 24^th from 3:30 til 4:55 pm.  Be prepared to sing your audition song again and be able to move.  Arrive at audition wearing comfortable clothing.
The first rehearsal will be on Saturday, August 26^th from 9 am til 11 am in the main theatre.
